Objectives

  • Conducting research and collecting data on Muslim's social, economic, and educational statuses and trends in the light of various Government decisions and social, economic, and policy developments, including participation in flagship programs, and present the same to the Government, various groups, and the Media.
  • Analyzing social, political, economic, and policy environment and media coverage, which have a direct and indirect impact on the well-being of the community, including its security, image and perceptions, and long-term implications; and preparing responses to be taken up with the media, social, and political spectrum, and the Government.
  • Dialogue with the Central and State Governments, media, political parties, corporate houses, and social and intellectual groups for sensitization and creating a better understanding of issues concerning Muslims. Building a database of Muslims in key positions and professions such as media, law, health, education, business, politics, legislatures, and so on.
  • Organize consultation meetings, seminars, discussions, leadership development programs, and reward and recognition functions for the performers and achievers and various bodies, think tanks, development organizations, and media houses.
  • Putting before the political parties the concerns of the community, and social, economic, and development agenda; seeking their support and commitments; and monitoring whether the same has been included in the manifestoes and subsequently implemented.
  • Educating youth and inculcating among them rational and scientific thinking, broad social and national ethos and shared values, and greater respect for the laws and institutions, and promoting social work and community service culture and the understanding of the essence of Islam.
